I loved this. I suspect there's a lot of each of us in your insecurities -- I know I saw a lot of myself in the things you had to say. What we all need to do is to realize that we are enough. And you are. More than enough! xoxo

Well said to say the least. It is so sad. I am a middle aged single gay white male. Yes I did say it. Middle aged, why is it so complicated. I have tried dating and meeting some new and interesting people just to be tossed to the curb. I guess such is life.

I have tried the match up sites, internet sites and meeting for a date with local and out of town gents. Not the most enjoyable experience to say the least.

Maybe one day it will be as easy as picking out veggies or fruit at the local market. Seems many men are having the same problem.

So why cannot we not meet.

Peace to all.

Hey Brett,

What desk is that in this picture?
http://www.deskography.org/people/dWo1741uux/desks/1310/photos/2554/

Is it the Ikea Galant?

I'm looking for a new home office setup and need enough workspace as well as enough space for at least a dual-monitor setup.

Thanks.

Thank you for your reply! I actually shared your sentiment until just recently after doing some reading. Your comment sounds as though I am saying that marriage is a religious entity, and I can see how one could think that, but the point I was attempting to make was that, while religions do have their own traditions around marriage, marriage itself did not originate from a religion. It has always been a government/state afforded right or privilege. While we seem to disagree on whether it is a right or a privilege, I think that we can agree that regardless of its terminology, it should be made available equally. Marriage is marriage, and marriage can be whatever two people believe it to be. It is not acceptable to restrict or rename marriage - an institution that has existed far longer than many of the religions practiced today - simply to appease those that choose to hate and then hide behind some veil called religion.

Marriage is not a right, it is a priveledge afforded by the government, because you argue that religion has nothing to do with marriage, then you have given the power to your politicians. So as a counter argument and as the extremety of extremes, lets fight for the complete abolition of marriage. Let everyone be "civil partners" and be done with it. Then you may have the fun of changed statuses on taxes, just like any other pair of "civil partners". This seems like it would appease everyone, the gay and lesbian community can be togeather as a joint force, and you'd have no more "rights-infringments" to complain about and the rest of us can breathe a sigh of relief that their not "married"
