Loop On Through
Posted by bretthperkins on January 18, 2010
Apparently, I feel poetic tonight. :p
I think that you can lower, now, these super expectations
I’m not the hero you all think, alas this revelation
Not sure how these intensive thoughts just bubble to attention
But I’m glad they did, they make me think; they let me release tension
You see, I too, have many needs, and things that I desire
But often, more than not, I find that I am left to tire
And tend to those that need me more that I will ever need
To help, and fix, and plan, and pay, it’s tiresome indeed
But sometimes, when I dig real deep, I find the strength to cease
Just to find that even there I cannot find my peace
The cycle starts anew and everything goes back to normal
And for a while, it’s all good. My life seems much more formal
But shortly after, bubbles start, and I begin to wonder
And come, again, to this same place. It’s quite a common blunder
So loop on through, I will, I must, for no end I see in sight
And hope that soon the light will shine into the endless night.

The only one that can change this endless loop is you… But you have to really want it to change. I know you want to change.. but how bad? SO bad to do something about it?
