a majority of Americans believe that churches should stay out of politics. I have to say that its about freaking time!!!!! You know, it took 8 years and 1 war to realize that!!! People have seen what happens first-hand when a religious zealot takes the reigns of the presidency. You would think that people would understand that there are many religions; the people that live in this country were given a right: The right to practice ANY religion they want, or not to practice at all. That, along with speech, is among the most precious of freedoms granted to any person on the planet. Because of that right, any legislation should be consistent with that freedom. I am not saying that the gov’t should just forget about Christianity, but what I am saying is that the gov’t needs to make sure it is not forgetting the other major religions. Anywho…. I could go on forever… but i digress, for now.
Kudos to the American public for finally getting the picture.
