Its amazing how one day, a friend can tell you how wonderful you are. They can say that they are lucky to have you in their life. That friend says that they know that, no matter what, we will always be friends. It seems to me that statements like that ought to mean something, those statements should have meaning behind them… Apparently to some, those are just empty statements. Its sad. I tried to help a friend with something (computer related of course) but circumstances did not allow me the time to do it promptly. Instead of being understanding; instead of being patient, this friend just keeps pushing buttons, kind of like the kids on TV in the back seat on a road-trip constantly asking, “are we there yet? are we there yet?…” Everyone knows how that ends. The kids get yelled at! Now, by no means am I any kind of better than my friend, and I am certainly not their parent, but I let this person know that I would let them know as soon as I knew something and that is was not necessary to continue asking. In my mind, that was a very short way of putting it, and yeah, it could have been worded better, but a text only gives you so many characters! :p Anywho… long story short, according to this friend, I am now some controlling bitch that “owns” everyone. It seems to me that if all those things that were said in the beginning of this paragraph were true, this friend would not travel down the road he did. But, unfortunately, he did. Now I have seen this before with this friend. It has happened countless times, but never to me… Something VERY minor sets this person off, and usually after they have their temper tantrum, things settle back into routine. Its a very common thing for a spoiled brat to do. Well, not this time. I don’t need a friend that is going to blow up at me when I am trying to help them. Its a slap in the face!!! I don’t need someone that will , on a whim, just throw away all the late night calls, the reassurance, the advice, and the comfort when they just needed a friend. I have been a good friend, but I am not going to have any more one-sided friendships. And I am certainly not going to be like this person’s mommy and daddy, and just put up with it. This person has some work to do if things are every going to go back to the way they were.
Other than that, I had a great weekend!!! Work was fun.

If you want change… Vote for Obama
Posted by bretthperkins on August 29, 2008
If you have ever wondered if you can afford to go to the doctor to get the care you need, vote for Obama.
If you have ever had to choose between going to work and caring for your sick child, vote for Obama.
If you have ever known or heard about a worker whose job is shipped overseas, then wondered why those businesses are rewarded, vote for Obama.
If you have ever wondered why it is okay for gas to be $4.00 per gallon while oil companies post record profits, vote for Obama.
If you have ever wondered why we went to Iraq when we should have gone further into Afghanistan, vote for Obama.
If you have ever wanted to see YOUR country break its addiction on foreign energy and oil, vote for Obama.
If you have ever wondered why we ask SO much of our soldiers, yet give them so little in return, vote for Obama.
If you think that it is time for our country to stop acting on its own and become the leader that we are destined to be, vote for Obama.
If you think that it is okay for my husband, whoever that may be, to have the same rights that the wifes of my brothers have, or the husband of my sister has, vote for Obama.
If you want to see an America rise up to the challenges of this new century, if you want to see this country takes steps to avoid making the world believe what the monsters of the terror cells want them to believe, vote for Obama.
If you want to see that the people that make up the heart of this country, the American working middle class, get the breaks they need to make the lives for their children that is deserved, vote for Obama.
If you want to give your children and grand-children an America that we can be proud of, that we can live in, and that remains to be the example for what is RIGHT in this world, vote for Obama.
From the times of the American Revolution to the Civil War, from the streets of Selma to the steps of Washington D.C, when change is needed the American people RISE UP!!! And I tell you tonight that we the people need to RISE UP. We need to get out and vote for this remarkable man, Barack Obama. This is a man that has captivated the spirit of all the we know needs change. This country did not get where it is by staying the same. We did not become what we are by remaining silent. We threw that tea into Boston Harbor, we took back the south and rid this country of slavery, we marched to Washington, and we rose up to make sure the injustices of those times did not continue. Now, we must rise up against the political machines of Washington who let the interests of the top few outweigh the interests of you and of me. He is my advocate and he embodies exactly how I feel and what needs to be done.
If you are tired of the failed policies of George W. Bush and you want this country to be what it was, and what it SHOULD be…
VOTE FOR OBAMA!!!
